About Huskie IBPO

The Huskie International Baccalaureate Parent Organization is the parent support organization for the IBO chapter at Douglas County High School (DCHS) in Castle Rock, Colorado. It was formed by the parents of DCHS students who are in the IB program.

Princeton Review/Practice ACT
Saturday, February 4, 2012 - CANCELLED!
UPDATE: Due to the weather emergency, the Princeton Review Exam Day event is officially canceled. We will let you know as soon as possible if we are able to reschedule. Please return to this site on or after Tuesday, February 7, 2012 for further updates.

This event is open district-wide to all Douglas County students. Sponsored by the IBPO, this annual event allows your student to choose between taking a practice ACT test, a practice SAT test or the PRA (a combination of the ACT and SAT). College financial planning and admission workshops are held for parents while students are testing. Registration is online at the following link: http://ibpo.wufoo.com/forms/m7x3s5/

All grades are invited to celebrate another successful school year in IB! Our Seniors will be sent off in style with the coveted Learner Profile Awards as well as announcements of future plans. Door Prizes for all grade levels. Cost: $5 per person

Juniors - 2012 Summer Extended Essay Workshop
June TBD, 2012 - Auraria Library CU Denver (Fee)
Our popular Extended Essay Workshop returns! This workshop is held over the course of four days at the Auraria Library on the CU Denver campus downtown Denver. The session is led by our two DCHS essay coordinators. Students have access to CU's extensive library facilities and receive guidance on a variety of Extended Essay requirements such as topic research, preparing their essay outline and much more The expectation of this workshop is that participating students come to this session with their defined research question. 2012 date will be added in early fall but is normally the first full week in June.

This information is entered in our database so we can contact you via email regarding important IB news and events. If your contact information has not chance, we ask that you simply notate the form with "No Changes: and return it to school. This form is due back by August 9, 2011.
