ACT/SAT/ACT-SAT Practice Exam Day

DCHS IBPO: 2017 ACT/SAT/ACT-SAT Practice Exam Day

Saturday, February 4th, 2017 – Douglas County High School – Registration Open

Good Evening parents and students:

Registration for the annual Princeton Review Practice Exams is now open. The Practice Exams are open to ALL students from All grades. Students can choose taking a free of cost ACT, SAT or ACT-SAT Start Up practice test.

To help students make a selection on which test to take, the local Princeton Review Office has provides us with the following descriptions of the three tests that will be offered on Saturday, February 4th:

  • ACT: This is a full-length ACT exam written by The Princeton Review. The test is incredibly reflective of what students can expect to experience when taking an official ACT test, and all students will receive an Individual Score Report breaking down their performance. Included on the Individual Score Report is a summary of their strengths and areas of focus, as well as a question-by-question analysis that contains student answers vs. the correct answers. Students are encouraged to keep their test booklet to better enable them to review their results.
  • SAT: This is a full-length SAT exam written by The Princeton Review, and is reflective of the changes coming to the SAT starting in March of 2016. The test mirrors what students can expect to experience when taking an official SAT test, and all students will receive an Individual Score Report breaking down their performance. Included on the Individual Score Report is a summary of their strengths and areas of focus, as well as a question-by-question analysis that contains student answers vs. the correct answers. Students are encouraged to keep their test booklet to better enable them to review their results.
  • ACT – SAT Start-Up: This exam is written by The Princeton Review in an effort to provide students a tool as they decide whether to take an official ACT, an official SAT, or both. All students will receive an Individual Score Report breaking down their performance, which includes a summary of their strengths and areas of focus. The data received by each student after taking an ACT – SAT Start-Up can be accurately used to compare whether they’re more likely to perform better on the ACT or (new) SAT, but is not designed to correlate out in predicting how a student will score on a full-length test. Students are encouraged to keep their test booklet to better enable them to review their results.
